Just Joe and I

Joe and I spent many hours in the hospital just talking, reading and just spending time together. Joe would always want me to get into the bed with him. This is Joe trying to get a picture of us. I will miss laying next to the best guy in the world

Joe trying to get STRONG!!!

Joe spend time on almost every floor of the hospital. He enjoyed getting out of bed and taking a few laps of the hospital. What a trooper!

Today I miss Joe!!

I miss having my Buba at home, our home doesn't seem complete. The hospital (University of Utah) allowed the kids in Joe's room last night. What a blessing for the kids! Joe is pretty much incoherent, he just sleeps with a lot of tossing a turning. He is so distended (swollen stomach & chest) he can't get comfortable. I'm so thankful for the Savior in my life, he has lead and guided our family through this trial. We have had so many tender mercies that have touched my heart. Being accepted to Medicaid (they will cover the transplant), the new Liver team, they are always checking on Joe, the comforting spirit that is with me night and day, they peaceful feeling I get when I drive home from the hospital at night.
Joe's mom has spent the nights with Joe so I can be home with my babies at nights. Joe's one and only super sister Malisa spent the day/night with Joe yesterday, thanks Aunite Lysa. My mom has been either at my house or at the hospital, and my cute sis, is also such a trooper.
Their are so many to name, thank you ALL for your LOVE, PRAYERS, and concerns for my Joe-Joe. I love you ALL!!!

Joe's UPDATE

Joseph is suffering from acute liver failure and a Hepetitus Flare-up. His blood will not clot so they can do no further proceedures at this time. He has met with one of the top liver specialists in Utah who has prescribed a great drug and sent him home from the hospital. We are praying this drug will give him the help he needs. Thanks for all of your love and concern for the our family at this time!! Please pray for him he needs it.

If you have to be in bed, the best person to share it with is Joe's best friend Gracie Rae or Goonks. She is always giving him hugs and kisses.

Joe spends many hours in bed. His liver isn't strong enough and isn't functioning so he doesn't have energy to get up.

Joe is getting blood work done twice a week, to check on his liver condition. The first time they took his blood, they blew 2 veins :( Joe is such a trooper. Today it went a lot smoother.
